Product Engineer

Portfolio Management Organization is looking for a Product Engineer for Auxiliary products. The position will be located in one of the main Power Supply Hubs, Vaasa, Finland, or Trieste, Italy.  
  
In this position, you will manage the core competence of auxiliary products within the Power Supply product portfolio and will act as an enabler of product development, supply chain and availability for sales on time and according to technical specifications, including terms of technical features and product performances.

 

Position information:

 

This position is permanent, and the preferred location for this position is Vaasa or Trieste. 
  

As a Product Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 
 

  • Be the primary interface between product management and other key players in the auxiliary’s portfolio management within the Power Supply's scope of delivery
  • Technical expert supporting product management, customer delivery and services in issue resolution
  • Participate in product care activities, giving technical support to other departments when product core competence is needed
  • Support on quality of operations by means of follow-up new releases and new functionality needed to enable new engine introduction and deliveries
  • Support and follow up on technology/product development projects
  • Ensure that product configuration in TERPS is up to date to enable sales of products
  • Participate in supplier agreement development when technical competence is required
  • Provide technical support to internal organisations involved with the delivery, assembly, testing and commissioning of installations
  • Actively drive product cross-functional cost reduction initiatives to improve product competitiveness

 
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have: 

 

  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Technical data management
  • Good Understanding of engines and systems specifications (including E&A), machinery drawing, regulations & standards
  • Cost awareness & effectiveness
  • Integrated solutions knowledge
  • Relevant academic background in Engineering or similar
